DIY or Call Us?

There’s a middle path here. You can safely check the attic hatch: open it and look for weatherstripping. If it’s missing or flat, that’s a tell. You can also look for daylight around plumbing stacks or recessed lights from inside the attic. But doing the actual sealing correctly is where DIY goes wrong. Spray foam expands, and the wrong formulation can warp drywall or put pressure on wiring. Recessed lights need rated covers or specific clearance, because sealing the wrong way creates a fire hazard.
